The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) published new Type Approval Guidelines to replace the current one – Type Approval Guidelines_Rev5_09-2015. The main change is that ZICTA shall before revoking an approval, give written notice to the holder of a type approval certificate of its intention to revoke the approval and shall:
(a) give reasons for the intended revocation, and
(b) require the holder to show cause within a period of 7 days why the approval should not be revoked. ZICTA may recall from the market the model of the electronic
communications apparatus whose approval has been revoked.
