On August 4th, the ZICTA published the notice regarding 5G in which the Authority has revised the Roadmap for the release of high demand spectrum as follows:
a) Spectrum in the 700 MHz band (703-733 MHz paired with 758-788 MHz) that was scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2023 will be issued in the third quarter of 2022.
b) The remaining lot of 40 MHz of spectrum in the 2600 MHz band (2550 to 2590 MHz) will be released in the third quarter of 2022.
c) Spectrum in 26 GHz Band (24.3–27.5 GHz) will be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.
d) The spectrum 3300 MHz Band (3300-3400 MHz) with a release date of the fourth quarter of 2023.
e) Spectrum C-Band (3480-3600 MHz) to be released in 2024.
