Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications issued Circular 02/2024/TT-BTTTT promulgates the List of Goods Subject to CoC and DoC, effective from May 15th, 2024, however, some of the standards below are effective from July 1st, 2024:
- QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT (National technical regulation on Short Range Device (SRD) – Radio equipment to be used in the 9 kHz to 25 MHz frequency range and inductive loop systems in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz)
- QCVN 110:2023/BTTTT (National technical regulation on Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) Base Stations (BS) – Radio Access)
- QCVN 111:2023/BTTTT (National technical regulation on Evolved Universal Terrestial Radio Acess (E-UTRA FDD) Repeater)
- QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT (National technical regulation on GSM, W-CDMA, E-UTRA Land Mobile User Equipment – Radio Access)
Some transitional regulations to note are as follows:
- The certificate of conformity according to QCVN 55:2011/BTTTT, QCVN 110:2017/BTTTT, QCVN 111:2017/BTTTT is still valid until the end of the certificate’s term, including the completion of the state inspection registration dossier according to QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 110:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 111:2023/BTTTT respectively.
- It is not mandatory to apply the technical requirements in extreme test conditions until June 30, 2025.
- Regarding QCVN 117, it should be noted that terrestrial mobile information terminals other than mobile phones must use E-UTRA (4G) technology from July 1st, 2024. Certificates of conformity for terrestrial mobile information terminals other than mobile phones that only integrate/use W-CDMA FDD (3G), GSM (2G and 2.5G) technology according to QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT that are still valid will continue to be applied until the end of the validity period, but not later than June 30th, 2024.
