On August 28, 2019, MIC Vietnam released Guidance letter No. 2902/BTTTT-KHCN application and implementation of Circular No. 05/2019/TT-BTTT.
This new regulations include modifications in the certification of Bluetooth devices, validity of certain tests and already-obtained certifications, and some prerogatives of MIC regarding a series tests reports. All these new regulations will be enforced immediately,
Though this news generated some concern particularly because of the previous Bluetooth exemption and the need to re-certificate these devices, we have been able to confirm that wireless devices with RF power under 60mW will still be exempt as of remark (**) at bottom of Appendix I of Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT.
