VIETNAM: National Technical Regulation on  Electromagnetic Compatibility for MME

On May 25, 2018, MIC (Ministry of Information and Communications) of Vietnam released Circular QCVN 118:2018 / BTTTT National technical regulation on the Electromagnetic compatibility of MultiMedia Equipment (MME) – Emission requirements.

The Vietnamese national standard, QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT, composed of the CISPR 32:2015 RLV and CISPR 32:2015/COR1:2016, is expected to come into force on July 1, 2019, which is set to replace TCVN 7189:2009.

The scope of QCVN 118:2018 covers the following MultiMedia Equipment (MME):
-Information technology equipment: The equipment has one (or more) main functions: importing, storing, displaying, restoring, transmitting, processing, switching or controlling data and/or data.
-Telecommunications and equipment that can be equipped with one or more ports.
-Broadcasting television receivers: Broadcasting television receivers containing tuners for receiving television broadcasting services.



MIC will issue a new guidance in order to apply this new standard. We will keep you informed as new information develops.
