The FCC released on August 11, 2015, an order (FCC 15-100) to make additional spectrum resources available to accommodate wireless microphones users needs over the long term.
They use the term “wireless microphones” to reference wireless microphones and other related wireless audio devices. The technical and operational rules for wireless microphone operations in these different bands have varied, depending on the band, and are designed to enable wireless microphone users to operate in shared bands along with other users.
