Back

On October 6, 2017, the FCC published a correction to the document, “Permitting Radar Services in the 76-81 GHz Band.” The document published on September 20, 2017, discussed the final rule document to permit “vehicular radars and certain non-vehicular fixed and mobile radars used at airports to operate in the entire 76-81 GHz band on an interference-protected basis.”Full access to the band was given with the idea to provide full sufficient spectrum bandwidth in order to push forward the development of wide-band high-precision short-range vehicular radar (SRR) applications.
