On August 9, 2017, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) published a public notice announcing the completion of auction for the new 600 MHz license. Auction 1002 means applications for 600 MHz band licenses are now accepted for filing. According to the FCC, “The Commission may return or dismiss any application if it is found, upon further examination, to be defective or not in conformance with the Commission’s rules.” A public notice will be published once the acceptance for filing of additional long-form applications is finalized.
