UKRAINE: New Approved Resolution to Impact Electrical and Electronic Equipment this September

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine published resolution no. 139 stating the approval for restricting the use of certain hazardous substances found in electrical and electronic equipment. The new ROHs requirement will come into effect on September 22, 2017.

Equipment this will apply to includes:



1. Large appliances 

2. Fine household appliances
3. Information technology equipment and telecommunication equipment
4. Consumer electronics
5. Lighting equipment
6. Electrical and electronic instruments
7. Toys, equipment for recreation and sports
8. Medical products (including medical products for diagnosis in vitro).
9. Monitoring and monitoring devices (includes industrial monitoring and control devices).

10. Automatic devices for delivery and dispensing of products
11. Other electrical and electronic equipment not listed above.



Restricted use with minimum permissible value of concentration in percentage:



1. Lead. 0.1
2. Mercury 0.1
3. Cadmium 0.01 

4. Six-chrome 0.1

5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) 0.1 

6. Polybrominated biphenyl ethers (PBDE) 0.1 

7. Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) 0.1

8. Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) 0.1

9. Dibutylphthalate (DBP) 0.1 

10. Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) 0.1
