SOUTH AFRICA: Public Consultation to Radio Frequency Spectrum Assignment Plan for The 335.4 to 380 MHz and 1518 to 1525 MHz Frequencies Bands

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA), has started two new Public Consultations on the frequency allocation for the 335.4 to 380 MHz and 1518 to 1525 MHz bands. Fixed, Mobile and Mobile-Satellite services are the intended uses defined for these bands. Specific applications would cover PTP/PTMP links, Government Services, Digital Trunking, PMR/PAMR, and IMT Satellite component, among others.

The drafts of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Assignment Plan for the frequency band 335.4 MHz to 380 MHz and the Radio Frequency Spectrum Assignment Plan for the frequency band 1518 to 1525 MHZ has already been published for reference.
