The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has published the Final Radio Frequency Spectrum Assignment Plan for several frequency bands in terms of regulation 3 of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations from 2015, read with the Radio Frequency Migration Regulation 2013 as well as the 2013 and 2019 Radio Frequency Migration Plans.
A final act notice has been issued for each one of the following frequency band ranges:
- 1518 MHz to 1525 MHz
- 440 MHz to 450 MHz
- 410 MHz to 430 MHz
- 406.1 MHz to 410 MHz
- 380 MHz to 399.9 MHz
- 335.4 MHz to 380 MHz
- 138 MHz to 144 MHz
And invitation for comments are open for:
- Assignment Plan for band range 156.8375 MHz to 174 MHz (Until Monday, September 4, 2023)
- Electronic Communications Amendment Bill on 23 June 2023 (Now extended for until August 31st).
