Back

On February 21st, RATEL made an announcement regarding the implementation of the regulation for establishing the Radio Frequency Band Allocation Plan of 2024. This regulation, published in the Official Gazette of RS, No. 9/24 on February 5, 2024, took effect on February 13, 2024, eight days after its publication, thereby replacing the previous Regulation (Official Gazette of RS, No. 89/20).

During the Government session on January 25, 2024, the Regulation on the establishment of the Radio Frequency Band Allocation Plan was reviewed and adopted. This decision was based on a draft document prepared by RATEL and submitted by the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, in collaboration with the competent autonomous province body.

The Radio Frequency Band Allocation Plan outlines the allocation of RF bands for specific radio communication services, ensuring compliance with international regulations, agreements, legal documents, and relevant EU directives.

With the adoption of this plan, the necessary legal framework is established to amend existing regulations and introduce new rulebooks in the radio communications sector.
