Saudi Arabia: CST released a Public Consultation on 6 GHz AFC

The Saudi Communications and Space Technology Commission (CST) began a consultation  “Light Licensing Regulations Annex for the 6 GHz Frequency Band” that seeks public opinions on its proposal to use Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) for 6 GHz WLAN of higher transmit power and the required technical conditions.

The purpose of the new regulations is to create a more efficient and equitable environment for the use of the frequency band, ultimately enabling smarter resource management. 

The deadline to submit comments is November 20, 2024.
