The Saudi Arabia Standards Organization (SASO), published on September 21, 2015, the SASO standard 2203/2015, “Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes- safety requirements and test methods 250 V/13 A”. This standard is an update of the SASO 2203/2003 standard, and its purpose is to ensure safety, efficiency and quality of plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar general use, and also to reduce fraud and accident rates. The full version, in english, of the new standard was published and is available for all the interested parties.
