The Radio and Telecommunication Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) 1999/5/EC transition period to the following directive: Radio Equipment (RE) Directive 2015/53/EU, which covers most equipment in the radio frequency spectrum, is expected to be complete by June 13, 2017. Manufacturers are encouraged to update their compliance with the new RE Directive standards; however, manufacturers are allowed to introduce products using the Directive of their choice while the transition period is still active.
