Entirety reports on January 10, 2019, The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) in collaboration with the Carnegie Mellon University and Qatar University, issued a handbook of guidelines to implement an IPv6/IPv4 dual-stack as part of the initiative to support the IPv6 taskforce towards achieving a complete transition to IPv6.
This handbook clarifies all the concerns about dual stack implementation as well as the required steps to execute it.
“CRA recommended the IPv6/IPv4 dual-stack approach for a complete and seamless transition to IPv6 because of its flexibility and ease in configuration. It will not interrupt the existing IPv4 operating network, instead, enabling every networking device, server, switch, router and firewall in an Internet Service Provider’s network to be configured with both IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time.”
