On August 2nd, 2017, The National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) of Paraguay announced on the official website a process that will allow 4G broadband to be accessed from every corner of Paraguay. “Teresita Palacios, president of the entity, during the launch of the process that will culminate by the end of the year with the tender of the Cellular Mobile Telephony Service and Internet Access and Transmission Data in the 700 MHz frequency band.” The government hopes to spread the spectrum in order to provide the people a greater service and give the people the same opportunity they have in the capitol.
