PARAGUAY: CONATEL Makes Slight Modification to Homologation Regulation

Back

The National Telecommunication Commission (CONATEL) of Paraguay published a resolution announcing the slight modification of the regulation approved by resolution 588/2009.

For Resolution 1193/2017, CONATEL expresses the need to standardize the method and model of labeling for telecommunication equipment since the current homologation regulation contains only general information.

Each unit of equipment and telecommunications equipment approved, or marketed in Paraguay, must have an identification, in a visible place accessible by the user composed by the name of the equipment manufacturer, the brand of the equipment, the model of the equipment, and a label, with the logo of CONATEL and the registration number or code that corresponds to the certificate of the homologation granted.

2. In the occasion of the request for approval, the manufacturer must present a graphic, image or photograph of the label that will be displayed on the equipment and/or apparatus of telecommunication, specifying the place and the way in which it will be placed.

3. The label must strictly conform to the specifications detailed in the appendix

4. In the event that the telecommunications equipment and/or apparatus is imported, the following provisions shall be observed:
