As reported by the Paraguayan local daily ABC, the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) recently announced that they will hold a public consultation for the tender of the 700 MHz and 2600 MHz bands in the country for 4G LTE services. The auction has been delayed in the past due to the slow process of freeing up the 700 MHz band, which used to allow terrestrial TV channels. The chief of the regulator announced that the public consultation will be released during September of 2016 and that all interested parties could review and object the plan before its release.
