Pakistan’s PTA has released a draft with an update to the Type Approval Regulation. The main updates include a modification to the list of exempted devices, please be aware that all tablets/devices and wearables that include Bluetooth and Wifi technologies which were previously exempt, are not exempt anymore and now they require Pakistan’s approval. Keep in mind that Short Range Devices and Cellular devices will still be required to obtain Pakistan’s Type Approval, as per previous practice.
