NEW ZEALAND: RSM Launches Public Consultation Regarding The Planning for WLAN Use in The 6 GHz

On June 1st, 2021, the Radio Spectrum Management Authority (RSM) from New Zealand, released a project to study and consider the use of radio spectrum from 5925 MHz – 7125 MHz.

The project consists of the following items:
• Multiple reports and explanations about Wi-Fi 6E devices in New Zealand, Managed Spectrum Park applications
• A notification for the consumers to put on hold any new licenses in the MSP
• A public consultation, open until June 29th in which the RSM is inviting you to comment on the content of the document, in particular, the questions posed and on any
related issues.

Comments should be submitted in writing, no later than June 30th, 2021, to the email Radio.Spectrum@mbie.govt.nz and using the Subject line: “Consultation Submission – WLAN use in the 6 GHz band”.
