The Ministry of Information and Communication of Nepal published through its Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), the official document of the National Broadband Masterplan (2016-2020). The objective of the Masterplan is to serve as “framework for action in support of objectives and goals envisaged by the National Broadband Policy and as such intended to serve as means for guiding its effective implementation”, according to the Ministry. The Plan has an structure that analyzes the broadband history in the country and which are the steps to follow in order to ensure the accomplishment of the objectives. the document is divided in 8 different components:
