On July 2016, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Myanmar (MCIT), published the framework of an auction of spectrum in the 2600 MHz band through its Posts and Telecommunications Department. The auction will offer 40 MHz of spectrum in the 2600 MHz band (2575-2615 MHz). The spectrum will be available only for provision of broadband and data services. Qualified bidders will be announced on September 28th, and winners on October 20th 2016.
