MOLDOVA: Technical Regulation for Electromagnetic Compatibility Equipment

On November 13, 2017 decision No. 807 of 29.10.205 came to force, by which the government of Moldova has established the new Technical Regulation on “Electromagnetic Compatibility of Equipment.” Through this regulation, The Ministry of Economy recognizes the bodies performing the conformity assessment of the electromagnetic compatibility of the equipment for the national market, and establishes their requirements when conducting conformity assessment procedures.

This Technical Regulation is harmonized with Directive 2014/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of February 26, 2014. This was done with the aim at ensuring the protection of radio communications, including the reception of radio broadcasts and the radio amateur service operating in accordance with the ITU, the power supply and electronic communications networks, as well as t“he equipment connected to them, against electromagnetic disturbances.

This Regulation applies to:

-Apparatus: Any finished device or combination of such devices made available on the market as an independent functional unit intended for the final user and susceptible to cause electromagnetic disturbance or whose operation is susceptible to be affected by such perturbations.
-Fixed installations: A specific combination of several types of appliances and, where appropriate, other devices which are assembled, installed and intended to be used permanently at a pre-established location.
