On October 7th, The IFT approved the creation of the Technical Committee which will promote the development and deployment of 5G in Mexico. This group will allow the interaction between the Institute, the industry, and stakeholders, to expose the needs, strategies, and research in regards to 5G. To establish and regulate this Committee, it was organized rules, but initially, six working groups will be implemented to develop their activities and to be specialized in the following areas:
• Timely spectrum allocation for 5G.
• Infrastructure deployment and availability for 5G.
• Applications and services related to 5G (use cases and technological innovation)
• Regulatory aspects for 5G.
• Cybersecurity.
• Experimentation and testing with 5G.
