On January 04th, 2021: The Secretary of government (“Secretaria de Gobernacion”) shared an agreement in which the Plenary of the Federal Telecommunications Institute classifies the frequencies 162,400 MHz, 162,425 MHz, 162,450 MHz, 162,475 MHz, 162,500 MHz, 162,525 MHz, and 162,550 MHz as a protected spectrum for the dissemination of early warnings.
These frequencies are considered an ideal means of communication to assist in the operations of early warning systems, thus facilitating the reliability of their communications, the interoperability of the equipment, and speed in establishing communications in cases of emergency.
