MEXICO: Modification on Technical Disposition IFT-011-2017 Came Into Force August 2021

Back

As previously published by Entirety, the Technical Disposition IFT-011-2017 had a Public Consultation at the end of 2020, to propose the inclusion of the Operator’s parameters for VoLTE function for voice calls in the Technical Disposition. The objective was to ensure that devices operating with 4G have all the components for the automatic establishment of voice calls, through the VoLTE functionality and this must be enabled and active for the user. On February 12th, 2021, IFT had published the Official modification, which did include the testing standards for the devices with VoLTE, and one important topic is that for this part of the test, you must send a Support Mobile Terminal Equipment that uses radiofrequency software to verify that the VoLTE functionality is enabled and active in the network of the concessionaires and, where appropriate, authorized for the mobile service and that it complies with the characteristics of the Standard text.

Technical Disposition IFT-011-201 came into force on August 13th, 2021. If you have any questions, please contact the Entirety team.
