The IFT issued the Guidelines that establish the Common Alert Protocol, as well as the mechanisms for dealers and, where appropriate, authorized mobile, broadcasting, television and audio restricted services to collaborate with the competent authorities in the implementation and operation of said protocol to alert for risk or emergency situations regarding civil protection. According to the publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), licensees must disseminate to the users and audiences in a complete, timely, accurate, free, and unrestricted manner the Alert Messages.
The Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) document also indicates that concessionaires should give priority to Alert Messages, in accordance with the provisions of the National Civil Protection Coordination (CNPC) without other signals, protocols, codes, contents or any Another aspect alien to them affects its diffusion.
