MEXICO: IFT Approves New Plan for 806-824 / 851-869 MHz Bands

On September 13, 2016, the Mexican Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT), published on the Federation’s Official Diary (DOF) the agreement that approves a new plan for the 806-824 / 851 869 MHz Band, which also approves the change of the band holders for another band. The objective of the agreement is to increase the availability of spectrum and to promote the competition, coverage, inclusion, plurality, connectivity and accessibility to the telecommunications and broadcasting services. The agreement establishes on its second point the bands that the holders will use after the reorganization. It will come into force on October 25, 2016.
