MEXICO: Clarification Regarding the Compliance With the NOM-EM-016-SCFI-2015

Back

IMPACT FOR WIRELESS: Yes, Customs and importation

IMPACT FOR ITE: No

As Entirety had previously informed, the Mexican NOM-121-SCT1-2009 lost its validity on October 19, 2015, and for this reason this NOM is no longer required at the point on entry. In order to replace the NOM-121-SCT1-2009 effects on the importation and customs purposes, the economy secretariat of Mexico released the NOM-EM-016SCFI-2015, but the authorities cannot require compliance with this NOM at the points of entry until  the annex 2.4.1, of the Economy Secretariat Agreement,  is modified, in order to incorporate the tariff barriers related to this NOM. Entirety will inform once these modifications are applicable.
