As we had previously informed on our blog on July 20th 2015, the Mexican economy secretary has created a working group for the revision of the NOM-019-SCFI-1998, in order to make changes and create a new one. The working group has revised the draft of the NOM-019-SCFI-2015 and until now they have reached agreements in the following points:
- The final date to receive comments is now 9 October 2015.
- For the correct application of this draft, the applicable Mexican Norms (NMX) will be referenced.
- When the NOM-019-SCFI-2015 becomes definitive, it will cancel the NOM-016SCFI-1993.
- The General Direction of Norms (DGN) will propose a new scope for application and for exclusion of this NOM-019-SCFI-2015 draft.
- The DGN will define whether or not the draft is applicable to components and sub sets to be incorporated in technology information equipments and associated, and office equipment.
