After a public consultation made by the IFT (Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones) between April 7 – May 5 2015, taking in account the recommendations of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the Interamerican Commision of Telecommunications (CITEL), the IFT decided to adopt the C1 segmentation scheme for the frequency band 2500 – 2690 MHz. it offers advantages because it is widely used in the world, reducing costs to the manufacturers and improving the service to the final user.
