MAURITIUS: Refarming of the 900 MHz Band

The Information and Communication Technologies Authority, has decided to refarm the 900 MHz band for implementation of Terrestrial Component of International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT). Allowing it to be available for the deployment of Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) terrestrial component of IMT which shall not preclude the frequency band mentioned from being used for GSM900, among other things.

This decision is expected to come into force with immediate effect.
