The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has released the technical codes for the 5G User equipment (UE) and Base stations (BS) providing the minimum requirements needed to comply to be imported, distributed, and/or used in the country.
The certification requirements are contained in each technical standard. The new applications for certification must comply with 5G User Equipment:
-MCMC MTSFB TC T016:2021 for all 5G bands.
Additionally, there is a requirement of compliance for devices using Non-stand Alone mode. The authority specifies that B28 is mandatory and they may accept 3GPP 36.521-1 or ETSI 301 908-13 or other equivalent standard LTE B28.
