The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) published an announcement that the use of the 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi equipment is under analysis, highlighting that the certification at this moment is not allowed until further notice. For future Type Approval devices that use the 6 GHz band must ensure it’s disabled from devices before the approval process. To ensure the deactivation of the 6 GHz frequency band, the devices must be under Verification Testing at SIRIM RF and EMCT laboratory.
