The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority had published a questionnaire regarding the study of the availability of the bandwidth (6) GH for the use of Wi-Fi in line with international developments in this regard and shows the actual need to provide frequency packets for this technology in the country, where the various opinions received by the authority from local companies and international organizations were reviewed, all of which were in favor of providing frequency bands for this use.
Therefore, the TRC presents the instructions and conditions for licensing and operating the amended local radio communication networks for public consultation. The final date to receive comments will be November 12th.
On the other hand, the TRC has published the final version of the Short Range Devices licenses where they specify the frequency bands and technical restrictions for each category. They also list the applicable standards according to the type of use.
