The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has finished the public consultation period after comments were submitted by mid-November and have officially published the updated RLAN instructions.
The main changes in these bands will be:
- 5150-5350: TRC allowed the usage of 5250-5350 which enabled the full band range for indoor and outdoor use.
- 5470-5725: allowed for indoor use
- 5925-6425: allowed for portable devices and for indoor use.
- 57 – 71 GHz: allowed with transmitting power not exceeding 27 dBm.
