JAPAN: Proposal of Amendment of the Technical Standards of the Low-Power Wireless System

The Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), published an outline with the proposal to amend the existing regulations for radio equipment. The need of the country is to increase available channels of radio frequency for low-power radio station about: Human and animal detection report system (150 MHz band); Telemeter, tele control and data transmission system (400 MHz and 1200 MHz band); and Communication radio system (400 MHz band). That leads the MIC to propose an amendment for those systems expanding its usage and channels. It is also important to note that existing regulations will be valid for five years after the proposed date of entry into force of this amendment, which is August 2016.
