The MOFA (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) of Japan released a draft for an amendment to the regulation for the local 5G system, this new release focuses on enabling the use of the 5G system for various players excluding national mobile operators.
The amendment will be released in KAMPO (Official Government Gazette) when it comes into action; so far, the final date to submit documents is September 17th of 2019.
The attachment is a translation into English, “The Outline of Proposed Amendment to Ministerial Ordinance”, the basic law is the Radio Act (Act No.131 of 1950).
