JAPAN: MIC Revises Radio Equipment Regulations for August 2017

Back

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) in Japan partially revised the existing radio equipment regulations. The proposed amendment to the Ministerial Ordinance is specifically for private digital cordless phone systems. This would include the introduction of the shared eXtended Global Platform (sXGP) system, which has adapted to international standards for certain mobile telephones. The proposed date of entry into force is August 2017.

Please refer to the attached PDF for the outline of the Amendment.
