ISED Radio Standard Specification Updated Document Includes DTSs, FHSs and LE-LAN Devices

During the month of February, the Innovation, Science, and Economic Development of Canada (ISED) announced on its website that it’s set to replace its outdated RSS-247 (Radio Standard Specification) document, also known as issue 1, dated May 2015 with Issue 2. The updated document comes with updates regarding Digital Transmission Systems (DTSs), Frequency Hopping Systems (FHSs), and License-Exempt Local Area Network (LE-LAN) devices. There will be a 6-month transition period following the publication of issue 2. After the 6-month period, only certifications for equipment under issue 2 will be accepted.
