Indonesia’s SDPPI issued a public letter presenting a brief relaxation due to the complications that COVID-19 measures imply; for new certification and for recertification process of devices following these requirement’s references:
1. Minister of Communication and Information Technology Regulation Number 4 of 2013 concerning about Technical Requirements of Video Conference Telecommunication Equipment;
2. Minister of Communication and Information Technology Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning about Technical Requirements of Wavelength Division Multiplexing Telecommunication Equipment; and
3. Minister of Communication and Information Technology Regulation Number 10 the Year 2019 concerning Technical Requirements of Internet Protocol Telecommunication Network Tools and/or Equipment. For the processes that require test reports of the main requirements, if the applicant has not been able to deliver the required tests reports, they are allowed to submit in partial by including a statement letter (signed and stamped) to indicate the agreement that the applicant will complete the required reports in the following 06 (six) months.
In case the applicant has not been able to complete the required report up to the deadline, then Applicant:
1. Will be subject to administrative sanctions in the form of Telecommunication Tools and/or Equipment certificate withdrawal; and
2. Will be announced to the public and obliged to recall Telecommunications Equipment and/or Devices that have been distributed.
