On April 24th, 2019, the Directorate General of Post and Informatics (SDPPI) published a new regulation “KEPDIRJEN POSTEL No. 138 the Year 2019” regarding the International Test Laboratory Recognition for cellular phones, handheld computers, and tablet computers.
There are some main points from this new regulation:
SDPPI has recognized international laboratories for cellular phones, handheld computers, and tablet computer products. This means that local testing is not required.
Test report issued by recognized international laboratories can be used to fulfill the requirements of SDPPI certification application for a handheld computer, cellular phone, and tablet computer. It can be used to do the paperwork application.
This policy is valid for 6 months starting from the day of its application (April 15th, 2019).
