On Jan 31st, 2022. TEC published the amendment to the MTCTE phases III and IV initially launched on September 2021. The following updates are effective immediately:
- There is no change in date for mandatory certification of products under Phase III (Mandatory on 01.07.22).
- For Phase IV products certification for safety, EMI/EMC was extended from 01.02.22 to 01.07.22 (When certification becomes mandatory).
- For other ER parameters under Phase IV, the mandatory certification date remains the same as 01.07.22.
In conclusion, for phase III the procedures remain the same. While for phase IV from now on there can be applications with full ER.
Regarding test reports:
- The ILAC relaxation for phase III remains extended until 30.06.22 but only for ERs mentioned in the Annexure-II of the publication.
- The ILAC relaxation for phase IV is now extended to 30.06.22 for ERs mentioned in the Annexure-II of the publication.
- The validity of test reports/results issued by TEC designated Indian labs in respect of all parameters shall be up to 5 years.
The validity of test reports/results Issued by foreign labs by ILAC signatories and recognized labs of MRA partner country for technician parameters shall be up to two years in respect of products listed in Annexure-II.
