On April 1 st, 2020, the new phase of Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) has been published in the Gazette of India (CG-DL-E-01042020-218993), the newly included categories are as follow:
The applicable Indian Standards for telecom devices are IS 13252:2010 (based on IEC 60950) and IS 616:2017 (based on IEC 60065); these are not new, so the laboratories already have implemented them and those are included in their approved scope. For this new Phase, the date to come into force in October 1st, 2020; the transition/adoption period will be until Jan. 1 st, 2021; but due to the COVID-19 contingency, these dates are subject to changes.
