HONG KONG: Spectrum Release Plan for 2023 – 2025 (Updated Version) 

Hong Kong OFCA (Office of the Communications Authority) issued the updated Frequency Plan on July 18^th, 2023.

The key updated frequency assignments: 

1. 832.5 – 837.5 MHz,  877.5 – 882.5 MHz, 885 – 890 MHz, and 930 – 935 MHz: Re-assignment of the spectrum for provision of mobile services upon expiry of the existing assignments in May 2026.
2. 2300 – 2390 MHz: Re-assignment of the spectrum for provision of mobile services upon expiry of the existing assignments in March 2027.
3. 2515 – 2540 MHz and 2635 – 2660 MHz: Timing for Target Consultation in 2024.
4. 6570 – 6770 MHz and 6910 – 7125 MHz: Assignment of new spectrum for provision of mobile services. Meanwhile, it’s under public consultation till Aug 15^th of 2023.
5. 39500 – 43500 MHz: Timing for Target Consultation in 2024 or 2025.
