The Office of the Communication Authority (OFCA) published HKCA 1081 for devices operating in the 6 GHz band in April 2022. This specification defines the minimum performance requirements for radiocommunications devices operating in the 6 GHz band for wireless local area networks. The apparatus shall operate in the 5.925 – 6.425 GHz frequency range, and shall meet the technical requirements specified in the standard EN 303 687 “6 GHz WAS/ RLAN.
According to this specification, the limit of output power is as follows:
- Indoor use: cannot exceed 24 dBm (EIRP)
- Outdoor use: cannot exceed 14 dBm (EIRP)
