On January 10, 2022, ARCEP launched a public consultation on the draft methods for allocating frequencies in the 700 MHz and 3.4 – 3.8 GHz bands in Guyana. Actors are invited to send in their contributions before February 25, 2022. This public consultation is part of the process of allocating new frequency bands for the deployment of mobile networks open to the overseas public in order to meet the ever-increasing expectations of the general public and professional users wishing to access services. high-speed and reliable mobile phones.

The contributions to the public consultation will enable Arcep to decide on these attribution methods. The Authority will then propose a text to the government, with a view to conducting the allocation of frequencies during the year 2022
