European Union: New List of RED Harmonized Standards and Dates of Withdrawal for Certain Radio Equipment

Back

On October 6, 2023, the European Commission published Decision (EU) 2023/2392 of 3 October 2023 amending Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2191. This publication, as usual, contains new harmonized standards and dates of withdrawal for certain radio equipment.

The main intention of this revision is to update the dates of withdrawal for the following standards:

EN 301 908 -1 V15.2.1

EN 302 077 V2.3.1

EN 302 245 V2.2.1

EN 303 132 V2.1.1

EN 303 980 V1.3.1

EN 303 981 V1.3.1

Compliance with these harmonized standards confers a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements set out in Union harmonization legislation from the date of publication.

By this decision, Companies that manufacture or sell radio equipment that is covered by these standards will have sufficient time to adapt their radio equipment and should review the new dates of withdrawal and take steps to ensure that their products comply with the latest standards.
