- Some references of radio equipment (published in the Official Journal of the European Union) which are in conformity with harmonized standards are to be presumed to be in conformity with the essential requirements set out in Article 3 of that Directive.
- The Commission made a request to the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) for the drafting and revision of harmonized standards
- On the basis of the request, ETSI drafted harmonized standards for data transmission equipment operating in the 2,4 GHz band, for radiotelephone transmitters and receivers for the maritime mobile service, for maritime low power personal locating devices, for Ultra-Low Power (ULP) wireless medical capsule endoscopy devices and for Transport and Traffic Telematics (TTT) systems.
- Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/785 (6), imposes, technical requirements to be used for vehicular access systems using trigger-before-transmit.
- In order to give manufacturers sufficient time to prepare for the application of the replacing harmonized standards, it is necessary to defer the withdrawal of the references of the standards that are replaced.
